子

Little Warriors

Ages 4 to 7

Short, lively classes teach basic stances, punches, kicks and blocks through games and drills. Children learn to bow, listen and take turns from the very first lesson.

Little Warriors grade through the first coloured belts, so they can see their progress and are proud of it.

Junior karate

Ages 8 to 14

Juniors follow the Japanese syllabus of JKS: kihon (basics), kata (forms) and kumite (sparring), with regular belt gradings towards black belt.

Training builds focus, fitness and respect, and students learn to look after themselves.

Adult karate

Ages 15 and over, any fitness

Adults train in Shotokan and Shito-ryu karate, from complete beginners to experienced black belts. Classes cover technique, kata, partner work, practical self-defence and fitness.

It is never too late to start: beginners of any age are welcome.

Karate for adults 40+

Men and women aged 40 and over, any fitness

It is never too late to start karate. Our 40+ classes follow the same Japanese syllabus at a pace that respects your body: careful warm-ups, joint-friendly technique, stretching, breathing and kata that keep you strong and mobile for years.

There is no pressure to spar or compete. Many adults come for fitness, stress relief and the quiet confidence that comes from learning something real, and some go all the way to black belt. 不惑 (fuwaku) means “free of doubt”, the Japanese name for the age of forty.

Competition squad

Selected juniors and adults

Squad members train in competition kata and WKF-rules kumite, with timing, strategy and conditioning work. Our head coach is a certified kata and kumite referee and judge.

Students join the squad by invitation once they have the grade and commitment. Squad training times are arranged directly with selected students.

Ladies-only karate

Women and girls aged 16 and over

A friendly, private class for women who prefer to train together, with modest dress welcome. Sessions combine traditional karate technique, practical self-defence and fitness, so you leave stronger and more confident.

Complete beginners are welcome at any age. Message us for the current day and location.

Private coaching

All ages and levels

Private sessions are planned around your goals: preparing for a grading or competition, catching up after a break, or learning karate at your own pace.

Sessions can be one-to-one or for a small family group. Message us to arrange a time.

遠

Hybrid online karate

Members of any age, at home or travelling

Hybrid students combine classes in the dojo with online training. Sensei Najmal runs live online sessions, and members can follow karate videos at home through the Dojo Login app, so training continues on holidays, busy weeks or when you can’t reach the dojo.

Your attendance, belt requirements and progress stay in one place, so online and dojo training count towards your next grading.

古武道

Kobudo

Teens and adults with karate experience

Kobudo is the weapons art that grew up alongside karate in Okinawa. Students learn the bo (staff), sai, tonfa and kama through basics and kata.

It sharpens coordination, grip strength and focus, and deepens your understanding of karate.

車椅子

Wheelchair karate

Wheelchair users of all ages

Wheelchair karate follows the same etiquette and technique as our standing classes, adapted so it can be trained seated.

Message us about access at your nearest location before your first class.
